The Fayette Flyers of Georgia is an AMA sanctioned Radio Control model airplane club currently of about 50 families. We enjoy all areas of model aviation and welcome anyone interested in pursuing their dreams of RC flight. We are a diverse group who are actively engaged in training. We also participate in school youth mentoring programs and are usually available for demo flights.

Our club has 5 AMA National champions in Electric and Pure Sailplane. We also have a few (though they will never tell) that still have a little to learn, age is no boundary, making this a wonderfully fun group of people to be with.

We welcome new members back from the Gulf or young people desiring to learn about flight and the Senior citizens looking for a new hobby all are welcome.

With this community comingled group comes a return with active community service.

Each year the Fayette Flyers make a charitable donation voted upon by it's members.

In prior years we have hosted Club Fun Fly events. A new $10 toy was the landing fee for the holidays for the Marine Toys for Tots. We always enjoy these events.

We have also made donations to the Truitt Cathy WinShape Homes. This is a great organization who are there in our community to give a lift to youth in need.

In 2003 we made a donation to a local Fayette County, Georgia organization. The Joseph Sams School. This is a school for children that have special needs to aide in their development.

In  2004 we elected to donate to a program that was started by an Atlanta radio talk show host to get Christmas gifts to the members of the United States Armed forces in Iraq. The program was called Adopt-A-Platoon. [Original Link no longer available] The community of Atlanta and surrounding neighbors made donations of about 10.5 TONS of gifts for the troops. However the shipping costs were not covered due to the overwhelming volume of gifts.  $16,000 was needed to get the packages to Iraq. With local individuals, groups, businesses and the help of the Fayette Flyers all the gifts managed to get there.

In 2005 we made a donation to the C.A.F wing in Peachtree City, Ga.

In 2006 following SEFF  proceeds were donated to the Americas disaster relief fun still recovering from a tornado that swept though the wonderful town.

In 2007 A local community Boy Scout Troop 175 of Peachtree City, Ga.  has sponsored a Phone Cards for the Troops. They are raising money to buy $10 phone cards for our Soldiers so they can call home for Christmas. 100% goes to the guys protecting our freedom. We donated enough to buy 100 Soldiers some time with their loved ones on the phone this holiday season.
