As usual we are looking for volunteers for all positions.
Quiet Flyer is on as the official magazine sponsor.
Old Business :
No old business.
New Business :
Christmas dinner is going to be held at the Commemorative Air Force
facility again. On whatever dates we can get for a Saturday or Sunday.
We have a new flying field as long as no big show stopper rears its head.
It is on Charles Perkins's aunt's property. The general setup looks good.
Approximately 65 acres, the removal of 6 trees that would impede a good
landing approach has already been approved. The property is in a land
conservancy program and can't be developed for at least 7 years and the
owner has stated that after that they were interested in extending the
conservancy another 10 years. That could mean a long term solution for
us.
We are going to pay $1,500/year for the use and we will be responsible for
the up keep on the entry road and field. Nothing new there. The plan is
to place 2 carport style open sheds for shelter and a storage shed.
All of this is going to be placed on the fast track by using the money we have
been saving from membership dues and SEFF.
Broken Prop Award :
None.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:05PM to go to the new field.
