Fayette Flyers Meeting Minutes for August 30th, 2007

 Officer Reports: 

Treasurer report-David Keller went over the club’s financial report. 

 Secretary-Ernie Schlumberger had nothing to report since we’ve had no new members in a while.  We still  have 53 members.

 Vice President Randy Hawkins was not present at the meeting due to work.

 President-Tommy Vinci said that he secured the same place for the Christmas party this year, The C.A.F Hangar at Falcon Field.  It will be held on Sunday December 9th.  The Hangar will be reserved from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM to allow time for setup and clean up afterwards.  The Hangar will cost $300 to rent for the day and will also require AMA insurance for the event due to new owners of the Hangar requesting the insurance. 

Tommy also discussed the Peachtree City Air show on October 13-14th which will be sponsored by the U.S. Airforce.  This air show will be one of only 5 in the U.S. sponsored by them this year. 

.Old Business:  Nothing was discussed concerning old business.

 New Business:   Our new neighbors to the north have clear cut the trees behind a small buffer of trees along the property line.  We expect this to be for a horse field and not new homes.  We will continue to monitor the situation. 

 New Members:   None this month.
