Fayette Flyers Meeting Minutes for February 24, 2007

Meeting location: At the field                        Members present: 13

Start time:       1:15 PM                                  Member applicants/guests: 0

Officer Reports:

Treasurer report-David Keller went over the financial report, which included some dues, receipts, port-a-potty and banking fees.

Secretary-Ernie Schlumberger reported the number of 2007 renewals received prior to the meeting totaled 44.  Two more members renewed during the meeting bringing the total to 46.

Vice President Randy Hawkins said that the club website has a lot of bandwidth available for club members to post pictures and/or videos of planes at our field.  Send them to Randy to get them posted to the web.

President-Tommy Vinci discussed our continuing problem with the complaint about the noise at our field.  The county ordinance says 55db is for residential property and commercial/ agricultural land is higher (approx. 65db).  This may help us.  Tommy also talked about an AMA newsletter dated May 2005, which discussed noise risks at AMA flying sites.  We decided to have dB meters at the field during our next meeting to test some planes while they fly.

Old Business:

We talked about the club meeting place and time and came to the agreement of meeting at the field on the last Saturday of each month.  So the next meeting will be Sat. March 31st.  (April will have to be decided on at the next meeting due to SEFF.)

New Business:

Vice President, Randy Hawkins brought up putting together a club event schedule for 2007 and sticking to it this year.  Everyone seemed to agree we needed to get some activities going this year.  Club member, Tom Huckaby asked if a 2007 club budget had been drawn up and voted on.  Treasurer, David Keller said it hadn’t yet, but he would put one together for the next meeting.
