Meeting Minutes for May 25, 2006 by Ernie Schlumberger (filling in for Secretary, Jim Beck)
The meeting was brought to order at 7:05pm at the Field by President, Tommy Vinci.
Officer Reports:
Treasurer, David Keller gave the treasurer report.
SEFF Event Coordinator, Jeff Meyers reported about this year’s event held May 4 - 7th. There were 309 registered pilots. There were 300 barbecue dinner tickets sold. He gave a Very Big Thank you to all Staff members and commented how much they really helped out this year. The paging system for frequency control worked out great, and for next year the club needs to buy 2 more charger bases. He said that the AMA magazine will cover the event, and that this is the only Electric event to be covered this year.
Vice President, Ernie Schlumberger listed Upcoming events:
1) There will not be a Cub Fun Fly June 16/17. The field will be open to all flying on those days.
2) The King Peach Electric Sailplane contest will be held Friday, June 23 and Saturday June 24. This is a competition. Our field will be closed to all other flying on those two days. If you would like to participate please do so or just come out to watch.
3) Fun Fly and Family Cookout will be held July 15.
Old Business:

New Business:
David Keller brought up field improvements. It was decided that 1) The club will buy a grill for cookouts. 2) The club will not put in another row of posts on backside of the shelter and 3) Another shelter around $2000 may be added later.
Jeff Meyers will look into buying a Ganged Reel mower to cut the runway and a small covered shed for the cutter.
Other discussions included 1) sprinkler system – water well, power etc. Club Member, Bob Barnard said he’s looking into EMC putting a security light installed (with a power drop).
Club Member, Doc Richardson brought up worktables and he was asked to look into that.
Broken Prop:
Bob Barnard was awarded a S.A.D. Patch for breaking all 3 blades on the 3 bladed propeller on his .40-sized trainer called an Alpha.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40p.m.
